We are committed to removing all barriers for people participating with VASS, even the financial one. Here are some easy paths:
Established by Sport BC in 1993, KidSport is a community-based sport funding program that provides grants for children aged 6 – 18 to participate in a sport season of their choice. Grants of up to $200 (depending on the community) are to be used for the payment of sport participation / registration fees. Click here for more details.
Jumpstart is a program that offers funding for young people ages 4-18, to participate in sport. Skiing/riding is supported by them. Click here for all of the details.
Our provincial health organization has Autism Spectrum Disorder funding for participants ages 6-18. Skiing and boarding are recognized as forms of therapy and will qualify for funding from this agency. Click here for all of the details.
VASS has 2 options to help make funding easier. We have raised our prices this year, for the first time in over 10 years. It will allows us to keep growing and offer the world class programming. That being said, we realize that it may be a shock to some families…. so when you go to the payment screen, if price is truly a barrier, just put INSTANTHELP in the bursary field. No questions asked and nothing to fill out… just a lower price. The new price is $250 and the adjusted price will be $175.
And if the reduced rate is still a barrier, there is a form to fill out to receive even more reduction in price. Click here to download the form.
