Establish
ed by Sport BC in 1993, KidSport is a community-based sport funding program that provides grants for children 6-18 years to participate in a sport season of their choice. Grants of up to $200 (depending on the community) are to be used for the payment of sport participation / registration fees. Click here for more details.
Jumpstart is a program that offers funding for young people ages 4-18, to participate in sport. Skiing/riding is supported by them. Click here for all of the details.
Our provincial health organization has Autism Spectrum Disorder funding for participants ages 6-18. Skiing and boarding are recognized as forms of therapy and will qualify for funding from this agency. Click here for all of the details.
Athletics4Kids, is a small B.C. charity whose overarching goal is to assist all kids with their dream of playing sports. They do this by providing financial assistance to families across the province, for children aged 5-18 in over 55 different sports (including snow sports!) Click here to apply!
Jordan’s Principle makes sure all First Nations children living in Canada can access the products, services and supports they need, when they need them. Funding can help with a wide range of health, social and educational needs, including the unique needs that First Nations Two-Spirit and LGBTQQIA children and youth and those with disabilities may have.

At VASS, we understand that the cost of the ski or snowboard program can be a concern for some families. Our primary goal is to ensure that every individual has the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful experience of skiing and snowboarding. We have introduced two options to make funding more accessible and convenient for you.
If you find that the standard pricing is a financial challenge, we warmly welcome you to use the code ‘INSTANTHELP’ in the bursary field during registration. This code will automatically adjust the price from $250 to $175, with no questions asked and no additional paperwork needed. We believe in the importance of inclusivity and want to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder your participation in our program.
We also offer a further reduction in price for those who still find the adjusted rate a barrier. We have a simple form that you can fill out to explore additional assistance.
