Welcome!
Our ski, sit ski, and snowboard programs are designed for everyone aged 5+, from beginners to experienced participants. Most programs run for 6 weeks, and you can find a complete list of all programs below. Our mission is to provide inclusive and adaptive snow sport lessons for all students.

We offer lessons at Grouse Mountain, Mt. Seymour, and Cypress Mountain and our programs rely on volunteer instructors. To increase our volunteer pool, we encourage parents, family members and family friends to become volunteers – on or off the mountain!

FAQ
What is the age range for students to participate in VASS programs?
Minimum age is 5 years old and there is no maximum age.
Do I need prior skiing, sit skiing, or snowboarding experience to join a program?
No – our programs offer lessons to all abilities!
What information do I need to provide about my abilities or medical conditions when registering?
There is no pressure to disclose anything you are not comfortable revealing to us. Your lesson is tailored to your needs, so it would be beneficial to disclose abilities or conditions that might impact your lesson.
What happens if the program I want is already full – is there a waitlist?
There is a waitlist for ski, snowboard, and sit ski lessons. Depending on the time you registered and added yourself to the waitlist, we will work down the list and give you call when there is an opening.
Can a parent attend a lesson?
It is preferred that a student experience the lesson without parents attending. Parents are more than welcome to have a nap in their vehicle, or grab a coffee, or even go skiing or snowboarding themselves while their student is learning.
Can I register for multiple programs?
We have many students wanting to experience snow sports, so only 1 program is allowed per student.
When and how do I receive confirmation of my lesson placement?
Once a student’s profile has been reviewed and accepted, an email confirmation is immediately sent out to the email address listed in their profile.
